Disney Digital Entertainment is seeking a Lead UI/UX Designer to own UI creation in Unreal Engine and UEFN, mentoring a UI team and shaping experiences across Disney properties. The role emphasizes hands-on development, wireframes, and collaboration with art direction to uphold style guidelines.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of game dev, leadership on shipped titles, and strong knowledge of Unreal, Verse, and Figma, with a deep appreciation for Disney IP and immersive game design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8 years of game development experience with at least one shipped game in a Lead/Manager role.
• Experience with Unreal Engine or UEFN, UMG, and Verse scripting language.
• Proven leadership on multiple shipped products and cross‑platform experience.
• Ability to create UI mockups and wireframes using Figma or similar tools.
• Strong collaboration with stakeholders and a passion for Disney IP.

Responsabilités

• Own and implement UI using Unreal Engine, UEFN, and Verse in dev and live services.
• Design and create UI elements and game experiences that are engaging.
• Lead UI development and manage the UI team within a cross-disciplinary pod.
• Hands‑on creation of content for interactive games based on Disney properties.
• Create wireframes and mockups for user interfaces.
• Collaborate with art direction to maintain UI style guidelines.
• Design, implement, and iterate on UI/UX systems and features.
• Write and maintain detailed design documentation; mentor other UI designers.
