Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Lead UI Tech Designer to bridge design and engineering by building scalable UI systems in Unreal Engine.

You will translate wireframes into reusable widgets and navigation flows while partnering across disciplines—apply to help ship polished, responsive UI experiences. Responsibilities include designing UI system architecture, building reusable widget libraries, implementing layouts, and ensuring performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in UI design/tech design or hybrid role bridging design and engineering.
• Proven leadership bridging design and engineering to ship UI systems.
• Deep Unreal Engine 5 experience with UMG, Slate and Blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Design UI system architecture by decomposing features into widgets, structures, and classes.
• Build reusable widget libraries for scalable UI development.
• Profile UI performance and manage memory/CPU budgets.
• Coordinate documentation and workflow improvements across UX, UI art, and UI engineering.
• Translate UX needs into technical requirements for engineering partners.
