Qualifications

• 7+ years in product or UX design within enterprise B2B SaaS.
• Experience owning a design system at scale.
• Ability to run design as a staffed service for multiple product teams.
• Hands-on with AI-assisted prototyping tools for refining prototypes.
• Deep fluency in design systems and governance.
• Strong approach to accessibility and workflow usability.
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative user research.
• Background in commercial lending or fintech, or rapid domain mastery.
• Comfort in regulated audit environments (FFIEC, SOC 2).
• Proven collaboration with Product Management and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Define interaction standards and the design system for all AFS products.
• Own the design system as a serviced function with SLA adherence.
• Partner early with Product Managers using AI to frame patterns.
• Refine prototypes with AI-assisted tools and align to system components.
• Govern new interaction patterns and decide what ships into the system.
• Lead usability testing and workflow analysis with client users.
• Harvest work into production-ready code and design-system contributions.
• Standardize usability patterns across dense screens.
• Author inline help and reduce support burden.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product Ops to manage demand.
• Communicate rationales clearly to stakeholders.
• Ensure accessibility, security, and audit readiness in shipped experiences.
