Shure Incorporated in Skokie, IL seeks a Lead System Test Engineer (Audio & Video Solutions) to lead verification for Unified Communications. You will guide a dispersed team, develop test plans, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to ensure top-tier UC performance.

The role emphasizes testing audio, video, and camera quality across UC environments, while driving excellence and timely delivery in a fast-paced, onsite setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, or related field; master's preferred.
• 10+ years in quality engineering, system testing, or related field; 2+ years in leadership role with dispersed team.
• Extensive experience with Unified Communications platforms, specifically Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
• UC system architectures, protocols, and integrations.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, routing and network protocols in distributed systems.
• Proven experience testing UC solutions focusing on performance, reliability and UX.
• Audio quality testing: noise cancellation, echo reduction, audio clarity.
• Camera quality testing: resolution, frame rate, autofocus, low-light.
• Video quality testing: latency, smoothness, network adaptation.
• Familiarity with UC hardware/software interoperability.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans.
• Troubleshooting complex UC issues in live environments.
• Collaboration with developers, product managers, support engineers.
• Knowledge of latest trends in Unified Communications.
• Experience with agile methodologies.
