Job summary

Shure Incorporated in Skokie, IL offers a Summer 2027 Unified Communications Technology Intern program. This 12-week, on-site internship welcomes undergrad and graduate students and includes a housing stipend for Illinois onsite relocation.

You will work with Product Development and Product Management to evaluate technologies, build proof of concepts, and create scripts to automate tests. Experience with audio/video tech, DSP, and programming in C/C++ and Python or Matlab is valued, along with

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Audio, Video, Music Technology, AI or Engineering.
Interest in, and/or experience with professional A/V conferencing products.
Experience with A/V networking or IT networking is highly desirable.
Experience with C/C++ and scripting languages such as Python or Matlab is required.
Passion for learning new technologies
Strong verbal and written communications skills

Responsibilities

Work as part of a cross-functional development team to evaluate performance of various technologies of unified communications and integrated systems products.
Collaborate with Audio DSP software, Video technologies, Audio hardware engineers, and Product Management to define and execute technology evaluations.
Create prototypes enabling technology features and demonstrations with stakeholders.
Support integration of these technologies into current and future products.
Use scripting tools to automate tests where possible.
Report and document product issues discovered in testing.
Estimate, organize, and document tasks.
Communicate technical topics verbally and in writing.
Manage time efficiently to support project teams.
