Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily activities for 2-year-old children
• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that supports toddler development
• Monitor and document children's developmental milestones and progress
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's growth
• Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides
• Ensure compliance with NC childcare licensing regulations and health and safety standards

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with toddlers or in an early childhood education setting preferred
• NC Early Childhood credentials or a degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) preferred
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for 2-year-olds
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and staff
• Ability to lead a classroom and guide assistant teachers effectively
• Current or ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
• Patient, energetic, and genuinely passionate about early childhood development
