Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a motivated Estimator/Cost Estimator to support the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP) in New York. You will analyze drawings, perform cost estimates, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate budgeting for heavy civil tunneling work.

The role requires 8+ years in tunnel estimation, proficiency with estimating software and MS Excel, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
Minimum of 8 years experience as estimator or quantity surveyor in tunnel construction or infrastructure.
Proficiency in cost estimating software and MS Excel for detailed analysis.

Responsibilities

Analyze drawings, specs, and docs to identify scope and quantities for tunnel construction.
Perform quantity take-offs, pricing, labor cost estimation, and subcontractor analysis.
Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and procurement to align requirements and schedules.
Update cost tracking, monitor budget deviations, and identify savings opportunities.
Participate in value engineering, risk assessments, and cost optimization activities.
Stay current on market conditions and pricing fluctuations.
