Qualifications

• Ability to lead a team of local and oversee designers.
• 5 years of experience in Truss and Wall design.
• Must pass a background check and non-DOT drug test.

Responsibilities

• Design roof trusses, floor trusses, and wall panels using MiTek software.
• Ensure designs conform to customer plans and company standards.
• Lead and train a team of designers.

Skills

Ability to read and understand blue prints

Minimum 5 years’ experience designing optimized projects utilizing MiTek software

General knowledge of construction industry

Basic CAD and drafting knowledge

Knowledge of engineering fundamentals

Strong math skills

Knowledge of current local codes associated with truss design

Ability to communicate effectively

Dependability; reliable transportation

Ability to lead a team

Education

High school diploma or GED equivalent
