Job summary

Pape' Kenworth in Coburg, OR is seeking an Advanced Truck Technician / Mechanic for the day shift. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain medium and heavy Class 7 & 8 trucks, lead by example, and uphold safety, quality and professionalism in every task.

You’ll mentor other technicians, analyze complex malfunctions, and implement repair strategies across engines, transmissions, axles, steering, brakes, electrical, and air systems to maximize uptime and ensure first-time fix quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience on medium/heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, including engines and chassis.
• Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
• Cummins and MX software experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer relations skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain medium and heavy Class 7/8 trucks with high quality and safety standards.
• Mentor and serve as technical resource for other technicians in the shop.
• Analyze complex mechanical/electrical malfunctions and determine the best repair strategy.
• Execute repairs or rebuilds on engines, transmissions, axles, steering, brakes, clutches, electrical and air systems.
• Maximize uptime and get trucks back on the road quickly and correctly.
