Job summary

Performance Seats Clinton Inc. seeks a Trim Engineer to lead design, development and implementation of soft trim programs for our seating systems.

You will collaborate with design studios, develop materials lists, trim patterns, DFMEA and APQP documents, and support cost estimation and production readiness. The role requires hands-on knowledge of automotive trim construction, patterning tools, BOM management, and coordination with manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Trim Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience in automotive trim development and DFMEA/DVP&R.
• Familiarity with patterning tools (Optitex/Patterning) and BOM management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of soft trim programs.
• Coordinate with design studios to meet styling and technical specs.
• Develop trim BOMs, patterns, and color matrices; support cost analysis and production readiness.
