Job summary

R-2 Contractors, Inc. seeks an experienced Utility-Scale Trenching Foreman to lead field crews on power, renewables, transmission, and substation projects across the United States. This role plans, coordinates, and executes trenching operations with a focus on safety, quality, and schedule.

You will mentor crews, manage daily production, and ensure project objectives are met while maintaining strong safety practices and adherence to R-2 standards of excellence. Nationwide travel is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of utility-scale trenching experience.
• Minimum 2 years as a Trenching Foreman leading field crews.
• Ability to read project drawings and specifications.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise trenching and underground conduit installation activities.
• Plan daily work, coordinate crews, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
• Read and interpret drawings, trench profiles, and utility layouts.
• Ensure safety, quality, and on-time project delivery.
• Train, mentor, and develop crew members into future leaders.
• Complete daily reports and project documentation.
