Job summary

TRDI Incorporated is seeking a Tree Trimmer Technician to maintain trees and shrubs, ensuring health, appearance, and access to utilities and roads. The role involves supervising crews, planning work, and adhering to ANSI standards.

Responsibilities include pruning and removals, equipment operation, and training crew members. The position requires physical ability, safety focus, and readiness to work varied hours including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have more than 5 years of related supervisory experience.
• Able to maintain attention around hazardous equipment for extended periods.
• Experience leading tree crews safely and productively.
• Trained for tree and bucket rescue.
• Must wear PPE per task.
• Must safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds infrequently, 10 pounds frequently.
• Must pass an MVR check and pre-employment drug test.
• High school education or GED with 1 year relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of trees and shrubs per contract/SoW in deadline-focused environment.
• Assist with project work plans, manage smaller projects with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Minimize risks by implementing mitigation and contingency strategies.
• Conduct tree asset mapping, inventory, and reporting for work history.
• Perform and supervise pruning/removal with safety and ANSI standards.
• Ensure crew training for each assignment and operate aerial lift if needed.
• Relate traffic control and barrier setup to protect crew and public.
