JT Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering Utility Coordinator to lead utility coordination for highway projects in Wisconsin.

You will identify conflicts, coordinate with utility owners and contractors, review plans, and ensure smooth relocations to keep project schedules on track. The role requires 4+ years in utility coordination or related civil engineering fields, strong communication, and CAD/GIS proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in utility coordination, civil engineering, infrastructure, or related industry.
• Knowledge of utility systems (electric, gas, water, sewer, stormwater, telecom).
• Ability to read and interpret plans and construction docs.
• Understanding of utility relocation and permitting processes.
• Strong project coordination and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; GIS/CAD tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Utility Coordinator for highway construction projects across project phases.
• Identify, track, and resolve utility conflicts (water, sewer, electric, gas, telecom).
• Collaborate with utility companies, contractors, engineers, municipalities, and agencies.
• Review plans, maps, and documents to identify conflicts and develop solutions.
• Coordinate relocations and adjustments to support schedules and minimize disruption.
• Provide guidance on utility coordination, risks, and stakeholder communications.
• Maintain records including agreements, permits, and coordination docs.
• Support field issue resolution with contractors, owners, and managers.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety standards, and regulations.
