Job summary

JT Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering Utility Coordinator to lead utility coordination on highway projects across Wisconsin.

You will detect conflicts, coordinate relocations, and work with utility owners, contractors, and municipalities to keep projects on schedule. The role requires a civil engineering background, 4+ years of utility coordination experience, and strong communication skills to engage stakeholders and navigate regulatory permitting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field or equivalent.
• 4+ years of utility coordination or civil infrastructure experience.
• Knowledge of utility systems (electric, water, sewer, gas, telecom).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specs.
• Understanding of utility relocation and permitting processes.
• Strong project coordination and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; GIS/AutoCAD/MicroStation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Utility Coordinator for highway construction projects across Wisconsin.
• Identify, track, and resolve utility conflicts in plans and maps.
• Collaborate with utilities, contractors, engineers, and authorities to ensure compliance.
• Review engineering plans and documents to identify conflicts and propose solutions.
• Coordinate relocations and adjustments to support schedules.
• Provide guidance on coordination issues, permits, and risks to teams.
• Maintain project records, agreements, permits, and correspondence.
• Resolve field issues with contractors, utility owners, and managers.
• Ensure adherence to safety, regulations, and company policies.
