Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Surveyor (PLS) in Illinois or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Experience with transportation and roadway surveying projects.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and ORD.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and roadway plans.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee boundary, topographic, construction, right‑of‑way, and transportation surveys.
• Manage surveying activities for roadway, highway, bridge, and transportation projects.
• Review and interpret survey plans and engineering documents.
• Prepare survey drawings, plans, and deliverables.
• Process data using surveying and CAD software; develop terrain models and alignments.
• Coordinate with field crews, engineers, and clients; ensure data supports design needs.
• Conduct quality control reviews of survey data and deliverables.
• Assist with construction layout, staking, and verification activities.
