Job summary

MECO Engineering in Pittsfield, IL seeks an experienced Transportation Engineer (PE) to lead the design and delivery of transportation projects across the region. The ideal candidate brings a PE license in Illinois, 5+ years of transportation experience, and expertise with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and Bentley tools to ensure quality, compliance with IDOT standards, and successful client collaboration.

Qualifications

PE license in Illinois.
5+ years of transportation engineering experience (IDOT preferred).
Proficiency with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer and Bentley tools.
Strong knowledge of state and federal design standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Lead the design of roadway and transportation infrastructure projects from concept to construction.
Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports in compliance with guidelines.
Mentor and supervise junior engineering staff and CAD designers.
Interface with clients, stakeholders, and agency representatives throughout the project lifecycle.
Utilize MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer and other Bentley products for design and production.
