Job summary

M&J Engineering Group Inc. (M&J) seeks a Transportation Project Engineer to support Texas transportation practice growth. The role focuses on leading design, coordinating with clients and agencies, and delivering projects from planning through final design, while mentoring junior staff.

Qualified candidates bring PE licensure in Texas, experience in transportation projects, and strong communication skills. Bentley OpenRoads and MicroStation experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas or ability to obtain Texas licensure.
• Experience with transportation, drainage, bridge, roadway, or municipal infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience level flexible based on qualifications and demonstrated capabilities.
• Bentley OpenRoads and MicroStation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design and technical development for transportation and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and oversee plans, specifications, estimates, reports, and engineering calculations.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, utilities, subconsultants, and project stakeholders.
• Support project delivery from planning through final design.
• Mentor and develop junior engineering staff.
• Assist with proposal preparation, client development, and pursuit activities.
• Support implementation of digital delivery technologies and design standards.
