Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Transportation seeks a qualified engineer to supervise the encroachment permits review/approval process for commercial and large residential developments in the District. You will review permits for accuracy, supporting documentation, and compliance with SCDOT standards, coordinating with county offices and internal divisions.

You will conduct site visits, coordinate meetings with developers and officials, maintain permit files, and support county encroachment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
• Engineering work experience in review/approval processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise encroachment permits review/approval for commercial and large residential developments.
• Coordinate reviews with county offices and SCDOT divisions to ensure compliance with standards.
• Conduct site visits for preliminary review of encroachment permits.
