State of South Carolina Department of Transportation seeks an engineer to assist with encroachment permit reviews for moderate level commercial and large residential developments in District 6. You will review applications for accuracy, ensure compliance with SCDOT engineering standards, and coordinate with county offices and SCDOT divisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Science and Management and one (1) year of engineering or construction management work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence.

Responsabilités

• Review encroachment permit applications for accuracy and compliance with SCDOT standards.
• Coordinate reviews with county offices and SCDOT engineering divisions to ensure timely responses.
• Attend final and ongoing site inspections for encroachment permit projects to ensure compliance with designs and safety requirements.
• Maintain encroachment permit files and tracking system for accountability and timely reviews.
• Assist in reviewing permits submitted by local governments and public agencies; compile feedback from engineering disciplines.
