Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a Transportation Coordinator II to ensure timely, efficient delivery of items. You will coordinate drivers, schedules and routes, training staff, and supporting fleet maintenance with a focus on safety and service.

You will handle customer communications, adapt to changing needs, and act as a backup to ensure daily commitments are met across diverse tasks in a fast-paced health system.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
• A valid DOT Medical Card.
• Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Be 21 or older as required by the DOT to operate a commercial motor vehicle.
• Demonstrated ability to use office, dispatch and email programs.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and assignments.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate driver and dispatcher activities to meet customer needs.
• Lead dispatcher/trainer activities and provide feedback.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance to ensure safety and readiness.
• Support billing, accounts payable, customer service, payroll and scheduling.
• Develop employee work schedules, monitor route performance and staffing.
• Act as backup to drivers and managers to meet daily commitments.
• Safely operate vehicles to deliver equipment and supplies.
• Adapt to changing business needs and learn new processes.
