Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
• A valid DOT Medical Card.
• Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated ability to follow assigned schedule.
• Demonstrated ability to use computerized tracking system.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and follow department procedures and practices.
• Demonstrated ability to comply with Intermountain Healthcare’s Motor Vehicle Driver Policy.
• Be 21 or older as required by the DOT to operate a commercial motor vehicle.
• Demonstrated ability to use office, dispatch and email programs.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and assignments.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Lead dispatcher duties coordinating drivers and dispatchers to meet customer needs.
• Lead trainer duties: train individuals or small groups and provide feedback.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance for safety and readiness.
• Support billing, accounts payable, customer service, payroll, scheduling, IT, and compliance.
• Plan daily routes, staffing, performance, and improvements; back up drivers/managers as needed.
• Safely operate vehicles delivering equipment and supplies; monitor safety.
• Focus on customer needs and gather feedback.
• Ensure clear, engaging communication and timely information sharing.
• Manage time, set priorities, and allocate resources.
• Collaborate across departments to achieve goals; show respect.
• Adapt to changing business needs with a positive attitude.
• Record, store, and retrieve information using computer systems.
