International Paper in Thorofare, NJ is seeking a Lead Transportation Coordinator to manage clerical shipping duties at the Thorofare Retail Packaging & Display Facility. The role requires computer literacy, MS Office, and strong communication for coordinating transport and inventory activities.

• Receive items and match against purchase orders, arrange shipments.
• Document and update customer procedures.
• Collaborate with Accounting to resolve bill of lading discrepancies.
• Identify freight savings opportunities with Project Management.
• Order materials for shipping department based on inventory.
• Coordinate outbound trailers for recycled waste.

$48,300 - $64,400

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Transportation Coordinator reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager and is responsible for the clerical duties relating to Shipping at the Thorofare Retail Packaging & Display Facility. The individual is also the day to day main contact for the shipping department. Individual must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Encore and Nulogy computer program experience is helpful. Individual must be punctual, accurate, detail orientated, organized and possess trouble shooting and multi-tasking capabilities.Individual must have demonstrated ability to take direction and work independently. Great communication and customer service skills are required.

The Job You Will Perform:

• Role model, understand and communicate effective safety behaviors.
• Safety program participation, including 100% SWC participation and inspections.
• Maintain Housekeeping standards in compliance with Pac Secure.
• Create shipment plans, schedule and make arrangements for transportation of product to customers
• Oversee outbound shipping schedule to maintain efficient dock flow.
• Communicates and works closely with internal customers to ensure inventory is accurate
• Tracks and traces product through production and shipment to ensure on time delivery
• Manages all aspects of shipping utilizing customer’s we based 3rd party logistics systems
• Receives outside purchased items, identifies items on purchase orders and arranges shipments
• Continuously and consistently documents and updates customer procedures
• Works closely with Accounting to resolve any bill of lading discrepancies in a timely manner
• Works with Project Management to identify freight savings opportunities
• Orders materials and supplies for the shipping department based on inventory levels
• Manages coordination of outbound trailers for recycled waste for Fulfillment

The Skills You Will Bring:

• Communication between customer service, production, shipping and other levels of management.
• Use of Walkie Talkie radio and mobile RF equipment required.
• Responsible for maintaining a highly motivated atmosphere of harmonious teamwork
• Lifting and carrying of packages 5lbs. -30lbs.; >30lbs, less frequently. Assistance is available for >30lbs
• Carry out any other duties as requested by Management.
