Job summary

International Paper is seeking two dedicated PIT operators to safely operate sit-down PITs and manage shipments at our site on 10 Wilson Road. The role requires attention to detail in recording material receipts and maintaining accurate load documentation.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of PIT experience, with a preference for those with order picker background and experience in an industrial manufacturing setting. Multiple shifts available, with full-time commitment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years PIT experience.
  • Previous PIT operating experience in an industrial manufacturing or labor-intensive setting is required.
  • A background as an order picker is preferred.
  • Corrugated industry environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a sit-down powered industrial truck (PIT).
  • Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and prepare items for shipment.
  • Load and unload trailers.
  • Complete pre-start PIT maintenance inspection report.
  • Follow proper trailer loading and unloading lock-out/tag-out procedures.
  • Complete receiving reports to record materials received.

Availability will need to be for all 3 Shifts:

7:00a.m. – 3:00p.m.

3:00p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

11:00 p.m.-7:00a.m.

The Job You Will Perform:
  • Safely operate asit-down powered industrial truck (PIT).
  • Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and prepare items for shipment;
  • Load and unload trailers;
  • Complete pre-start PIT maintenance inspection report;
  • Follow proper trailer loading and unloading lock-out/tag-out procedure;
  • Complete receiving report to accurately record materials received;
  • Submit receiving reports after trailer is unloaded;
  • Complete load sheet to accurately record the grades, bale count, loading start/stop times for finished goods on outbound shipments;
  • Complete and submit load sheet at completion of shipment;
  • Understand and follow load pattern according to trailer, railcart
  • Follow all safety rules and practices at all times; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
The Skills You Will Bring:
  • Minimum of 2 years PIT experience
  • Previous PIT operating experience in an industrial manufacturing or other labor intensive work experience is required
  • A background as an order picker is preferred
  • Corrugated industry manufacturing environment preferred
  • Be able to multitask in a very fast-paced environment
  • Be computer literate and effectively use scanning equipment and arranging for the transportation of products
  • The ability to learn; and the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team.
