Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. seeks a Senior Construction Inspector (TCIS-1 or TCIS-2) to lead inspection activities on PennDOT, PA Turnpike, or PA Municipal projects.

You will perform complex field inspections, mentor junior staff, and ensure compliance with plans, specs, and regulations, with minimal supervision. This role requires extensive field work, coordination with project teams, and documentation accuracy to support contract administration and potential changes.

Qualifications

• 6 years of construction inspection experience on infrastructure projects
• 1 year of experience serving as lead or senior inspector on complex projects
• Valid driver's license
• NICET II Certification or higher in Highway Construction
• NECEPT Bituminous Field Technician certification

Responsibilities

• Perform complex inspection activities on multi-phase infrastructure projects under minimal supervision
• Lead inspection efforts for assigned project areas or phases
• Interpret and apply complex construction documents to evaluate field conditions
• Review and validate inspection reports and quantity records for accuracy
• Monitor contractor performance and identify risks to quality, safety, schedule and cost
• Coordinate with contractors, design engineers, and agency personnel on technical issues
• Provide guidance and mentorship to less-experienced inspectors
• Participate in progress and coordination meetings and present field updates
