Job summary

Responsibilities include overseeing inspections, documenting activities, training staff, interpreting contract requirements, and supporting audits.

Qualifications

• One year as Transportation Construction Inspector or equivalent federal/ commonwealth title.
• Two years of construction inspection experience with an associate’s degree in civil/engineering, mechanical, geotechnical engineering, surveying engineering technology, or a closely related engineering technology; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Lead inspection personnel by assigning tasks and reviewing work for accuracy and compliance.
• Verify traffic control devices and construction activities meet required standards.
• Review project records and materials data to ensure proper reporting.
• Provide on-site instruction about construction practices and materials testing.
• Interpret contract requirements and communicate project decisions to staff and contractors.
• Check work orders for compliance and support final project audits.
