Job summary

WSP is seeking a Transmission Siting and Permitting Project Manager to support electric transmission, substation, and renewable energy projects across PA, NJ, and MD. The role blends hands-on routing and regulatory work with leadership of multidisciplinary teams and client engagement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies or related field (or equivalent experience).
10+ years of experience managing environmental permitting and planning projects for energy‑related infrastructure.
Experience leading project teams and providing guidance to staff.
Strong interpersonal and client-facing communication skills.
Experience preparing proposals, presentations, and pricing structures.
Excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to manage client requirements and expectations.
Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with policies.
Willingness to travel occasionally based on project needs.

Responsibilities

Serve as siting and environmental permitting SME for electric transmission, substations, and renewable energy projects.
Manage routing and siting studies, analyses, and technical reports.
Provide oversight for environmental permitting across project phases.
Develop public involvement strategies including open houses and hearings.
Lead multidisciplinary project teams and mentor staff.
Support business development, client relationships, proposals, and pricing.
Ensure adherence to budgets, schedules, and company policies.
