Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Albuquerque, NM seeks an experienced Project Manager in Transmission & Distribution to lead projects from concept to completion.

You will manage schedules, budgets, and client relationships, develop proposals, coordinate multi-discipline teams, ensure QA/QC, and travel to client sites.

A Bachelor's in engineering and 7+ years of experience are required; PE preferred. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
• At least 7 years of related experience, including 3+ years managing engineering projects in Transmission & Distribution.
• PE registration preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to apply engineering principles to broad assignments.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall management of projects from concept to completion, including siting, environmental, permitting, planning, estimating, engineering, right-of-way, controls, procurement, constructability, and closeout.
• Manage client relationships and pursue repeat business; develop and monitor project schedules, scope, and costs.
• Prepare proposals, assist in presentations, participate in contract negotiations.
• Develop internal project financials, staffing, risk management, and change management.
