Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a seasoned Transmission Project Manager to oversee planning, execution, and delivery of electric transmission projects. This role requires leading cross-functional teams and managing schedules and budgets while mitigating risks and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of transmission systems, utility operations, and capital project delivery with proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience managing utility, transmission, energy infrastructure, or large-scale capital projects.
• Proven leadership of complex, multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Strong knowledge of transmission systems, utility operations, and delivery methodologies.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, contracts, and risk processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of transmission projects (planning to closeout).
• Develop and manage schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with engineering, environmental, permitting, construction, and operations teams.
• Serve as primary contact for stakeholders, leadership, customers, contractors, and regulators.
• Identify and mitigate project risks; resolve issues impacting objectives.
• Provide regular status updates, forecasts, and executive reports.
• Ensure safety, regulatory, environmental, and policy compliance.
• Manage contractor and vendor performance for quality, cost and schedule.
• Drive continuous improvement and best practices in project delivery.
• Support strategic planning and development of transmission programs.
