Orbital Engineering Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager for Electric Utilities to join the Project Management Team based in Pittsburgh, PA.

The role involves managing transmission substation and line projects across Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio, with travel to sites as required. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, driving tasks to completion, coordinating meetings, managing schedules and materials, and contributing to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• 8–10 years of construction/project management experience.
• Experience in Electric Utility Transmission and Distribution.
• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Ability to perform financial planning and forecasting.
• Proficient with scheduling software (P6) and basic computer programs (MS Office/Adobe).
• Willingness to travel and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety compliance on site and report incidents to supervision.
• Drive project tasks to completion and manage responsibilities.
• Attend regular project meetings and track schedules, material orders, and as-builts.
• Participate in on-site field walkdowns and contribute to project goals.
• Suggest process improvements to maximize efficiency and team performance.
