Job summary

Orbital Engineering Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager for Electric Utilities in the Pittsburgh area. You will lead a PM team on Transmission substation and line projects, coordinating across field teams, contractors, and clients.

This on-site or hybrid role requires 8–10 years of PM experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage schedules, finances, and risk. Intermittent travel and safety compliance are part of daily duties, with a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a Related Field
8-10 Years Project Management Experience
Experience in Electric Utility Transmission and Distribution
Must exhibit strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
Must exhibit ability to perform financial planning and forecasting
Must be competent in basic computer programs (Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe).
Must be competent in scheduling software (P6) and provide schedule updates as required.
Must be organized, self-motivated, and detail oriented.
Must be able to work well in a group setting and manage simultaneous tasks.
Must be willing to travel as needed. Travel and lodging costs are reimbursable.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle to frequent construction sites.
This position requires the ability to pass a post-offer drug (including marijuana) and alcohol test in compliance with Federal regulations and is also subject to random testing as a condition of continued employment.

Responsibilities

Drive project tasks to completion and monitor schedules.
Host and attend project meetings to maintain project knowledge and gather information.
Track project progress, material orders, checklists, and as-builts.
Participate in on-site field walkdowns and contribute to project goals.
Provide input to improve processes and procedures for efficiency.
Occasionally climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.
Learn and use multiple software systems as required.
