Job summary

Appalachian Power Co. seeks a Transmission Field Services Coordinator Sr to assist TFS management and field personnel with safe work methods, best practices, and cost estimates for projects.

Travel extensively across assigned TFS areas to stay current with field issues and oversee commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of transmission assets. The role develops IT systems, refresher training, and data collection improvements, while coordinating with supervision and other TFS areas to

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management or related technical field and 6 years of utility field experience; or high school diploma/GED and 10 years of related utility field experience.

Responsibilities

• Review for consistency and implement work practices across assigned TFS Areas.
• Develop and coordinate capital/maintenance workplans within goals and project requirements.
• Lead inter-region meetings to share ideas and develop uniform policies and procedures.
• Investigate use of new tools/equipment to improve safety and productivity and recommend implementations.
