Job summary

American Electric Power in Tulsa, OK seeks a Trans Field Service Coordinator to support Transmission Field Services in developing safe work methods, best practices, and capital/maintenance plans. You will assist with cost estimates, IT system development, and equipment rentals while coordinating field training and knowledge sharing across zones.

You will travel extensively to stay current with field issues, build subject-matter knowledge, and help implement uniform policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent utility field experience with 1 year of utility field experience.
• Experience in Transmission/Distribution Line, Station, P&C, or Technical Support is preferred.
• Ability to develop cost estimates and coordinate equipment rentals.

Responsibilities

• Review work practices for consistency across assigned TFS Area(s).
• Develop and administer capital and/or maintenance work plans within goals and project requirements.
• Facilitate meetings to share ideas and implement uniform policies and procedures.
• Maintain tool budgets and coordinate related training.
• Develop data collection systems and support TFS IT programs.
• Travel extensively to stay current with field issues and practices.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates for non-routine work and special projects.
• Coordinate securing rental equipment in assigned TFS Area.
