Job summary
LA Metro seeks a senior leader to provide technical leadership and oversight for transit service data collection, reporting, and advanced modeling for scheduling and planning functions. You will manage complex projects, design and monitor data systems, and mentor staff while ensuring safety and compliance across all activities.
Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least five years designing and maintaining large information systems, preferably in public
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; five years of relevant experience in designing and maintaining complex information systems.
- Experience in public transportation system operations, especially scheduling, preferred.
- OT, on-call, and weekend/holiday work required; travel to offsite locations may be needed.
Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes, and manages a work unit or large-scale projects for schedule planning and data collection systems.
- Designs and reviews complex programs for scheduling and operations planning applications.
- Maintains data warehousing/data mining BI systems.
- Oversees development, testing, and implementation of new application systems and enhancements.
- Coordinates feasibility studies for scheduling and operations planning systems.
- Prepares reports and recommendations for budget and business requirements.
- Supervises and mentors assigned staff and ensures safety policies.
