Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Transit Project Manager to serve as the Los Angeles Systems Lead in HDR’s LA office. The successful candidate will manage rail/transit system projects, lead planning and design teams, and engage clients throughout the Los Angeles area.

This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate multi-discipline teams to deliver design and construction packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in railway systems.
• 5+ years of project management experience.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with design management and design-build partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Manage design development of transit systems elements and coordinate with track, civil, and facilities disciplines.
• Lead planning and design teams and engage clients in the Los Angeles area.
• Serve as a high-level point of contact between HDR and the client.
• Plan, organize and supervise a medium-to-large staff of professionals and technicians.
• Review submittals, QA/QC checks, and manage subcontractors.
• Participate in client development meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
