Job summary

Timber Creek Recycling LLC in Meridian, Idaho, is seeking a Transfer Station Lead Driver to oversee daily transfer station operations and lead the driver team.

You will ensure safe loading and transportation of materials, perform vehicle inspections, and coordinate with supervisors to maintain productivity, safety, and excellent customer service. This full-time, day-shift role requires a Class A CDL, strong leadership, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and equipment.
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support team members.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, bend, climb, and perform physical job duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections.
• Report maintenance concerns promptly.
• Transport materials efficiently while ensuring loads are properly secured and delivered safely.
• Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, and safe work practices.
• Provide guidance and support to fellow drivers.
• Communicate operational concerns and improvement opportunities to management.
• Maintain compliance with DOT, OSHA/MSHA, and environmental regulations.
• Identify, report, and help correct unsafe conditions.
• Maintain all required licenses, certifications, and transportation documentation.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, vendors, and team members.
• Complete required logs, inspections, and operational paperwork accurately.
• Communicate route changes, delays, equipment issues, and operational updates promptly.
