Job summary

Spokane County’s Transfer Station is seeking a full-time Truck Driver to operate drop box trucks and haul solid waste and recyclables at the Valley Transfer Station. You will inspect equipment and perform needed maintenance to keep service safe and efficient.

Coordinate with site staff, respond to service needs, assist with manual tasks, and support overall Solid Waste operations. A CDL B is required, with HazMat certification within six months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years’ experience operating a tractor-trailer or drop box truck.
• CDL B license required; HazMat certification within six months.

Responsibilities

• Operate drop box truck to transport solid waste or recyclables.
• Inspect vehicle and perform routine maintenance before operation.
• Coordinate with site supervision and other drivers to schedule service.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
• Assist with manual tasks to support solid waste operations.
