Job summary

Millcreek Metals, a growing metal recycling company with yards in Blackfoot, Idaho, is seeking a CDL Driver for the Blackfoot yard. You will safely operate tractor-trailers and roll-off trucks, load and secure scrap, plan efficient routes, and uphold safety and environmental standards while delivering excellence to our customers.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL (Class A) with a clean driving record.
• 2-5 years of commercial driving experience.
• Experience pulling doubles a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
• Ability to strap own load
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles safely, including tractor-trailers and roll-off/lugger trucks.
• Load and secure scrap materials, ensuring proper weight distribution.
• Plan routes and follow designated delivery paths for efficiency.
• Perform basic vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Complete delivery documents and logs accurately.
• Maintain professional demeanor when interacting with customers.
• Handle materials environmentally responsibly and comply with regulations.
• Coordinate with dispatch to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
• Maintain clear communication with maintenance for vehicle upkeep.
