Job summary

Metro Associates is seeking a Traffic Project Manager (Civil Engineer) to lead roadway and traffic infrastructure projects across New York State. You will guide projects from scoping through final design and construction support, managing budgets and client relationships.

The role focuses on delivering NYSDOT and federally funded projects, mentoring staff, and shaping the growth of the transportation practice within a multidisciplinary design firm with broad geographic reach.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in traffic/transportation design within a consulting environment, preferred.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams in planning, design, and delivery of traffic projects from scoping to construction support.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and quality for strong technical and financial performance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, NYSDOT, and regulatory agencies.
