Metro Associates is seeking an experienced Traffic Project Manager (Civil Engineer) to lead the delivery of roadway and traffic infrastructure projects across New York State. This client-facing leadership role guides projects from scoping and preliminary design through final design and construction support.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in traffic/transportation design within a consulting environment.
• Experience delivering projects from preliminary design through final design and construction support.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
• Familiarity with NYSDOT traffic design projects and federally funded programs is preferred.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain it.

Responsabilités

• Lead multidisciplinary teams in the planning, design, and delivery of traffic and transportation projects from scoping through construction support.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and quality to ensure strong technical and financial performance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, NYSDOT, and other regulatory agencies.
• Oversee QA/QC, risk management, billing, reporting, and project closeout.
• Guide design strategy and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards.
• Strengthen client relationships to support repeat business and long-term partnerships.
• Support business development efforts, including proposals, scope development, and fee estimates.
• Mentor and develop junior engineering staff.
