Bexar County PA is seeking a Traffic Operations Technician III - C to manage large traffic control projects and lead installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic devices, while ensuring adherence to safety regulations. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and reporting ability.

The position involves supervising lower-level technicians, coordinating with engineers, and producing detailed inspections and reports on traffic control systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three years of experience in traffic control device maintenance or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of the TXMUTCD guidelines.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and trains Traffic Operations Technicians I and II
• Oversees complex traffic related projects
• Leads the installation, maintenance and repair of complex traffic control devices
• Performs inspections and prepares reports on the condition of traffic control systems
• Coordinate with engineers and other departments on traffic control projects
• Ensures compliance with all safety regulations and procedures
• Prepares technical reports and maintains detailed documentation
• May operate department vehicles for transporting materials and equipment
• Performs other duties as assigned
