Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of experience in traffic control device maintenance or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of the TXMUTCD guidelines.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Valid Texas driver's license with a good driving record.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and trains Traffic Operations Technicians I and II.
• Oversees complex traffic related projects.
• Leads installation, maintenance and repair of complex traffic control devices.
• Performs inspections and prepares reports on the condition of traffic control systems.
• Coordinate with engineers and other departments on traffic control projects.
• Ensures compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
• Prepares technical reports and maintains detailed documentation.
• May operate department vehicles for transporting materials and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
