Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking a Traffic Engineering Group Lead to guide task orders from planning to final design in Fairfax, VA or Washington, DC. The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and client collaboration across the Mid-Atlantic region.

The ideal candidate will have a PE license in Virginia, 8+ years of traffic engineering experience, and strong design and project management skills, with hybrid work options and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Requires a Civil Engineering degree and PE licensed in Virginia or able to reciprocity within 6 months.
• Experience leading traffic engineering projects with design and delivery oversight.
• Strong knowledge of MUTCD and traffic design standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead task orders and small to mid-sized traffic projects from planning through final design.
• Oversee traffic studies, design plans, and quality checks.
• Mentor junior engineers to support technical growth.
• Support Vision Zero, mobility, and multimodal improvements.
• Develop technical reports, cost estimates, and bid package materials.
