RDA in Glen Allen, VA is seeking a Senior Traffic Manager to lead traffic design and analysis projects across Virginia, mentoring teammates and shaping the growth of the Traffic practice. The role emphasizes collaboration, quality control, and project leadership in a dynamic, client-facing environment.

The position requires a Virginia-licensed PE or reciprocity, 10+ years of traffic engineering experience, and strong knowledge of AASHTO, FHWA, MUTCD, HCM, PROWAG, and HSM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of experience in traffic engineering, including operations and design.
• P.E. registration in Virginia, or ability to obtain via reciprocity, preferred.
• Strong knowledge of traffic engineering standards (AASHTO, FHWA, MUTCD, HCM, PROWAG, HSM).
• Proficiency with Synchro and MicroStation is required; OpenRoads, HCS, SIDRA preferred.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with ability to work in a team.
