Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Lead Professional, Traffic Engineer to join the Las Vegas office. You will lead traffic design and operations projects, guiding cross-disciplinary teams to deliver solutions for local and regional clients.

This role requires license, strong communication, and hands-on proficiency with traffic engineering tools. You will mentor junior staff, manage scopes and budgets, and contribute to business development while advancing your technical and management skills within a growing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of post-education experience in engineering with traffic design.
• Engineer license required.
• Proficiency in traffic engineering principles, practices, capacity and operations analysis.
• Strong ability to interpret plans, specs, and regulations.
• Experience inspecting transportation corridors and applying regulations.
• Excellent written and oral communication with diverse audiences.
• Ability to lead teams independently with QA/QC discipline.
• Proficiency with traffic engineering software and technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Develop transportation solutions with district traffic, transit, and planning teams.
• Use analysis, modeling, and simulation to evaluate operations and mobility.
• Perform traffic operations analyses and travel demand forecasting.
• Support development of regional and project-level traffic forecasts.
• Perform traffic operations analysis using Vissim, Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for communities and agencies.
• Manage tasks, scope, schedule, and budgets; ensure quality in delivery.
• Collaborate with professionals on proposals and business development.
• Stay current on latest traffic engineering techniques and practices.
