Job summary
WSP is seeking a Lead Traffic Engineering Manager for our Columbus, OH or Cleveland, OH office. You will lead Ohio traffic projects, perform technical analyses, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver transportation solutions that meet client objectives.
The role requires a PE license, 7+ years in engineering with traffic design experience, and familiarity with Synchro/SimTraffic, TransModeler, MicroStation, and AutoCAD.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or closely related discipline
- 7+ years of post-education engineering experience including traffic design
- Engineer license required
- Experience with safety studies
- Knowledge of traffic engineering tools and guidelines
- Experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD desirable
- Occasional travel may be required
Responsibilities
- Lead traffic engineering projects in Ohio and surrounding states
- Provide technical analyses for transportation infrastructure and land development projects
- Review traffic analysis software and methods (Synchro, SimTraffic, TransModeler)
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary staff and clients
- Develop technical proposals and pursue business opportunities
- Mentor and manage staff to deliver projects on deadlines
- Represent the company with regulatory agencies and clients
