Job summary

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring a Traffic Control Superintendent in Sutter, CA. The role oversees multiple field crews across active work zones, ensuring traffic control operations are safe, compliant with state and DOT requirements, and executed efficiently.

This hands-on leader visits jobsites, enforces plans, and develops crews to uphold the highest work zone safety standards. The position is permanent and requires a valid driver’s license with travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising traffic control field crews across multiple projects.
• Working knowledge of traffic control plans and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret traffic control plans and project specifications.
• Proven ability to identify hazardous conditions and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise multiple traffic control crews across active project sites.
• Conduct regular jobsite visits and field spot checks to monitor performance and compliance.
• Monitor signs, cones, barricades, channelizing devices, and equipment.
• Identify and correct unsafe work practices and enforce safety procedures.
• Coach and develop field employees and crew leaders with feedback and training.
• Coordinate crew assignments and resources based on project needs.
• Serve as primary liaison between field crews, project teams, customers, and contractors.
• Assist with training on traffic control procedures and safe practices.
• Ensure adherence to state/DOT requirements and maintain documentation.
• Promote a strong safety culture across all crews.
