Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Supervisor to design, set up, and maintain temporary traffic control in work zones. The role includes operating trucks to transport materials and supervising teams installing equipment.

Responsibilities include driving MOT and TMA vehicles, placing signs, setting up cones and boards, and ensuring safety compliance. Willingness to travel statewide and work nights/weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License required.
• 2+ years of experience and 4,000 field hours in traffic control.
• ATSSA TCS intermediate training required.
• Must pass background check including motor vehicle records.
• Must pass drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Wear safety gear and follow safety regulations.
• Able to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Willingness to travel statewide, including overnights.
• Must work nights and weekends as required by projects.
• Able to read plans and understand traffic control plans.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT vehicle to and from projects and work sites.
• Drive TMA vehicle to and from projects and on work sites to protect workers.
• Place temporary construction signs in work areas.
• Position arrow boards or variable message boards.
• Set up traffic cones and other safety devices.
• Monitor the work zone throughout the shift for proper placement.
• Load and unload traffic control items at shift start/end.
• Install, remove, and reset delineators, signs, and supports.
• Perform shop maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Follow all safety rules and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
