The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) NYC Transit seeks a Superintendent Track Access to coordinate track access schedules for A and B Division projects, balancing CPM and Track Construction goals with minimal passenger disruption. You will oversee track access activities, produce service plans, and report to OP staff while ensuring timely, safe, and efficient project support in a complex urban system.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Economics, Urban Planning, Transportation Planning or Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Four years of full-time professional work experience in large rapid transit operations.
  • Two years in a managerial/supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and write service plans for non-capital track access clients, coordinating with the A and B Superintendents, Track Access, and the Track Division.
  • Assist in diversions schedule; perform track access and force account analysis to aid scheduling decisions.
  • Analyze track access impact of non-capital projects and report findings to OP staff.
  • Assist the General Superintendent in day-to-day management of the Track Access Unit and ensure timely deliverables.
  • Prepare reports on non-capital projects for OP staff and client departments.
