Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a Senior Tooling Engineer to lead the design, development, launch, and optimization of manufacturing tooling and related processes. You will coordinate with suppliers, project teams, and multiple engineering disciplines to ensure tooling and equipment meet specifications, stay within budget, and comply with quality standards.

The role requires independent problem solving, data-driven analysis to improve tool life and process efficiency, and mentoring of engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Experience launching new equipment and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with suppliers and project teams to ensure tooling/equipment is delivered on time, within budget and to BorgWarner standards.
• Ensure tooling/equipment aligns with BorgWarner build requirements and safety expectations.
• Troubleshoot and optimize tooling processes; maintain documentation and inventory controls.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical direction to project teams.
• Foster effective communication with vendors, team members, and cross-functional groups.
