Job summary

Pridgeon and Clay Inc. seeks a Tooling Engineer to support Launch teams, ensuring external sources meet contract requirements and comply with quality standards for new tools and modifications. The role requires GD&T, SPC, APQP, and strong communication skills to drive on-time program completion.

Responsibilities include leading tool design coordination, reviewing schedules, and providing engineering support in customer meetings. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or 5 years of engineering experience.
• Experience managing build of stamping dies and tool design.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and SPC.
• Proficient in CAD/3D modeling and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Be the Launch representative and liaison between Launch and Die Shops for tool design, build, revisions, reviews, and sign-off.
• Lead tooling/APQP processes and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Review tool project schedules and coordinate timing with die shops to meet due dates.
• Provide technical support at customer meetings and discuss feasibility of engineering changes.
